EXT. JAKA'S CABIN - ROOFTOP - MORNING
The sun rises, casting a golden hue across the horizon as Sari sits on the roof of Jaka's humble wooden cabin. She gazes up at the expansive blue sky, lost in thought, her mind guided by Jaka's words echoing in her mind.
Sari's imagination takes flight as she envisions the grandeur of Astana Nusa, the garden, and the intricate levels within. The beauty of it all evokes a song within her.
SARI (singing)
I wish I hadn't lost my home,
I wish I wasn't stuck in prison.
Yet the opulent palace,
Doesn't bind my hope like a chain.
Her thoughts meander, reflecting on her experiences during Galungan Day and her bond with Jaka.
SARI (singing)
I wish I had made a different choice,
If Jaka hadn't been a loyal friend.
I might have been imprisoned,
Unable to ponder my path forward.
Suddenly, Sari's melancholic expression transforms into determination. Her eyes sparkle with newfound resolve.
SARI (singing)
Now, there's a branching path,
Out of this gilded cage.
Which one shall I choose,
For true happiness to be found?
Sari descends from the rooftop, her steps light as she moves through the shantytown. She observes the heartwarming sight of children joyfully playing with their parents, siblings, and other children their age. A gasp escapes her lips, as she realizes the answer to her inner turmoil lies before her. It is the thing she desires most, something she must reclaim at any cost.
SARI (singing)
This is my dream, a simple wish,
To return home, to my mother's embrace.
With renewed purpose, Sari sets forth on her path, driven by the longing to reunite with her mother and reclaim the warmth of their bond.
CUT TO:
EXT. OGOH-OGOH SLUMS - NARROW STREET - DAY
Sari, lost in her thoughts, fails to pay attention to the path ahead and collides with a large figure. She stumbles but recovers swiftly with a display of her well-honed agility and flexibility.
Before Sari can react, a massive hand reaches out to grab her. Reacting instinctively, she evades the grasp.
SARI
Hey, I was about to apologize!
Sari's gaze fixates on the two peculiar figures standing before her. The closest figure resembles a tall, muscular man with a bull-like head, adorned with horns and earrings. The other mutant, a white starling, exudes grace and beauty, her body covered in white feathers.
BULL-MAN (TUBA)
What are you looking at? Let me teach you a lesson about crossing us, the rulers of Ogoh-Ogoh Slums!
SARI
Rulers? This village belongs to Danurah City, so you have no authority here!
STARLING-WOMAN (NIRA)
Not here, little girl. I am Nira, and my husband Tuba. We are the two most powerful fighters in Danurah. Our strength is equal to ten thousand soldiers, securing this area is child's play for us.
Sari grips her fan tightly, ready to defend herself.
SARI
This won't be so easy. I won't let you lay a finger on me!
NIRA
Do you think you can fool us? We've been watching you. We know you're Rajni Sari, the fugitive Princess. There's a reward for your capture.
TUBA
Ten thousand gold pieces, to be exact. Your name is well-known, little Princess.
Sari's wit sparks a glimmer of humor amidst the tension.
SARI
Must a girl who bears a resemblance to royalty bear the name Sari?
NIRA
You won't fool us! I'll drag you back to the palace!
Sari turns to flee, but Nira swiftly blocks her path.
SARI
Move aside!
NIRA
Not a chance, little girl.
Tuba joins the chase, but Sari manages to create some distance between them.
As Sari looks back, she sees Tuba falling behind, giving her a momentary reprieve. However, her relief is short-lived as Nira swiftly confronts her, flicking her wings towards Sari's neck.
With a quick reflex, Sari plants her feet firmly and propels herself backward using a powerful kick.
Suddenly, a searing pain pierces her chest. Sari discovers a thin scratch on her chest.
NIRA
Just give up, Princess. Your life is worthless if you die.
TUBA
Indeed, we won't hesitate to end you. Your head alone holds value.
Before Nira and Tuba can make their move, a swift kick lands on Tuba's face, knocking him to the side.
Sari and Nira are taken aback as they recognize their attacker.
SARI
Jaka!
JAKA
Tut, tut! That wasn't a fair fight, now was it?
TUBA
We had to capture Sari alive, but we won't hesitate to kill you. Your head is valuable too!
Jaka remains unfazed by the threat.
JAKA
Sorry, Tuba. I was just strolling around, seeking answers.
SARI
More on that later. Right now, we need to take them down.
Sari's disbelief fades as determination replaces it. She realizes that together with Jaka, they might have a chance against Nira and Tuba.
SARI
What? Do you think we can defeat them?
Jaka wastes no time and swiftly engages Tuba, while Sari strikes at Nira with her magic fan.
Nira showcases her formidable skills, launching precise attacks with her wings and daggers. Sari gracefully evades her blows, retaliating with her dance-like movements.
Their battle resembles a chase, with Nira's relentless thrusts met by Sari's agile dodges.
In a pivotal moment, Sari spins swiftly, lowering her body, and thrusts her fan into Nira's side. Nira lets out a pained cry.
NIRA
Impressive, combining martial arts with dance. But you won't win. I outmatch you in power and experience.
SARI
Don't count me out!
With renewed strength, Sari confronts Nira. Their clash intensifies, with Sari using her fan to deflect Nira's energy-infused attacks. However, Sari sustains several cuts as the relentless assault limits her movements.
As the battle rages on, Jaka, too, faces off against Tuba, pressuring him to the brink.
Nira, overwhelmed by the turn of events, attempts to flee but freezes upon recognizing her attacker.
NIRA
You... Jaka!
JAKA
Your fight wasn't fair either, was it?
Nira and Tuba retreat, leaving Sari and Jaka relieved but wary.
SARI
We can't hide in this village anymore. Nira and Tuba will surely report us.
JAKA
But where should we go, Sari? What does your heart say?
SARI
We're heading to Usangha Forest.
Determined and resolute, Sari and Jaka set their sights on their next destination, ready to face the challenges that lie ahead.
FADE OUT.
EXT. DARK ALLEY - DANURAH - NIGHT
Tuba and Nira stand before General Paraya, a man cloaked in a dark brown hood. Shadows dance ominously around them, highlighting the tension in the air.
Nira bows respectfully, her hands folded in a show of deference.
NIRA
Greetings, General Paraya.
PARAYA
I hear you have information about the royal fugitives. Share it with me.
Nira, maintaining her composed demeanor, explains the situation.
NIRA
Yes, we have sighted two individuals who precisely match the descriptions provided by the kingdom. We encountered them in Ogoh-Ogoh Slums.
Paraya's voice carries a gruffness as he presses for details.
PARAYA
Did you attempt to capture them?
Nira fabricates a story, concealing their failure.
NIRA
We caught only a fleeting glimpse of them before they disappeared into the chaotic slums. Despite our efforts to track Sari and Jaka, we were unsuccessful in finding them.
Paraya's demeanor remains stoic as he delivers his response.
PARAYA
Very well. Here is your reward.
Paraya tosses a bag of money, skillfully caught by Tuba. The mutants eagerly examine the contents of the bag, discovering it to be gold.
TUBA
This is less than half of the promised reward!
PARAYA
You were merely providing information, not capturing the fugitives. Your report is vague and dubious, hardly deserving of a full reward. Consider it a down payment for a new assignment, one that carries a much larger reward than this.
Tuba and Nira exchange intrigued glances, captivated by the prospect of a new and potentially lucrative mission.
FADE OUT.
